13 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Kids
A few years back we decided to eliminate over 90k in debt (click here for tips on how we did it)!
Living on a tight budget forced us to come up with creative Christmas gift ideas for the kiddos.
What we realized throughout the years, was that the kids were more interested in the excitement of opening presents more so than the presents themselves.
We decided to stuff the kiddos stockings with multiple cheap gifts that we wrapped individually. We also tried to stick to items that they would need or use on a regular basis.
This was a hit and we have done it every year since.
Although most of these gifts are under $15 bucks, you can still stack the savings with ibotta to save even more!
Well that’s enough of the small talk….Let’s get to it!!!

#3 – Rechargeable Batteries
There’s nothing worse than a kid opening a gift and there are no batteries around the house. #PARENT FAIL (ok, maybe that’s a bit dramatic). Anyway, there is no need to be caught off guard.

I love these ideas. The lights, distress alarm and writing prompt journal are probably my favorites. My grandchildren don’t live close, but I think a stocking in their gift box with some of these fun items would be a great addition. Thanks for the ideas!!!

We do this, as you’re right – kids love opening presents and have both said they don’t mind not getting big gifts.
I love stockings that have lots of little wee gifts in them, great ideas on that list, I really like the journal idea, its really wonderful to go back and read things years later.
These are some really great ideas! Thank you! I’ve got a couple already that I’ll be buying for kiddoes!
